It is hard to believe that this was the first mystery this author has ever written because it is like reading a story written by a professional. I've read every Kay Scarpetta book, and agree with my fellow one-starrers that this one is the worst entry in a series that has been steadily declining for a while now. What if that was woken up in our world. Woodson was not fully appreciated for his contributions whether some of those were impractical or not and that is not surprising; most brilliant minds are revered posthumously (and perhaps never fully understood). There’s a problem, though. This book is a view of Christianity and Christians as compared with the wonderful characters of Charles Schultz famous cartoons.
