I don't always like Bella Winter's books but this one was a well written, engaging story. Sandra Staple is an artist and photographer who has been drawing dragons for over 15 years, and has literally sketched thousands of them. "Curtis believes that private capital is the "continuing vigor"that drives the country. This is a light, breezy read, and I would suspect if you had to categorize it, it would probably fit in nicely as a slightly advanced chapter book. Of course the authors take advantage of the magic of writing in the paranormal and this story is set in a New Orleans with which neither is familiar (a real challenge for Jane, since she lives there).
