A very endearing story. The characters were very relatable. Meanwhile, security must be tightened ahead of a chess convention, and Max is soon caught up in a case which offers little light relief until he is introduced to one of the competing chess players, the glamorous Livya Cordwell . However, it definitely contains useful information and is a fun listen/read. My daughter has loved these since she's been three & is still into them at 6 1/2.
